Alan founded Resolve Accountancy in 1999 and as the Managing Director he inspires and empowers his team, through a wealth of knowledge and experience he built the foundations and values which continues to drive the success of Resolve Accountancy.
He maintains the reigns of the business overseeing the day to day financials, budgeting and forecasting.

Finance Director
As co-founder of Resolve Accountancy Dawn uses her extensive experience and expertise acting as our Finance Director ensuring the financials, policies and procedures run smoothly.
Dawn manages our sales / debtors ledger and believes connecting with our clients on a personal level is key to understanding their unique needs.
Bruce Spear, FMAAT ATT CTA
Director
Bruce is a licensed accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with a lifelong passion for helping clients navigate tax and accountancy. Growing up in the family business founded by his parents, he was immersed in finance from an early age—sorting receipts in the office long before he officially joined the profession. After qualifying as a licensed accountant, he developed a keen interest in tax planning, leading him to further his expertise and achieve CTA status.
Now a director at Resolve Accountancy, Bruce specialises in advising businesses and individuals on tax-efficient strategies, structuring, and compliance. He takes pride in making complex tax matters clear and accessible, ensuring clients receive proactive, tailored advice to help them achieve their financial goals.
George Davidson, FMAAT
Director​
George has been part of Resolve Accountancy since the very start of his career, joining as an apprentice at just 16—his first and only job. His dedication and expertise saw him achieve fellow membership with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and progress to director in 2018.

With extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, and taxation, George takes pride in helping businesses unlock their potential. Passionate about technology, he actively seeks innovative software solutions to streamline processes and drive growth, ensuring clients receive both expert advice and practical, forward-thinking solutions.
Elizabeth Spear, MCIPPdip
Director
Growing up in the business founded by her parents, Alan and Dawn, Elizabeth was always familiar with the world of finance. While she didn’t set out to follow in their footsteps, she soon found she had a natural talent for payroll and compliance. This led her to pursue a degree in Payroll Management and become a full member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), establishing her expertise in the field.

As Director, Elizabeth manages HR and Payroll for both Resolve Accountancy and its clients, ensuring businesses stay compliant while streamlining payroll and onboarding processes. She takes pride in making payroll simple, efficient, and stress-free, providing expert support tailored to each client’s needs. Her meticulous approach and commitment to high standards ensure businesses receive the best possible service.
Kieran Tillett, MAAT
Manager
Joining us shortly after completing his economics degree, Kieran became a qualified full member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
Kieran manages a portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries. A strong passion and commitment to our clients' needs, alongside his knowledge and expertise within the accounting and tax industry, ensures our clients are looked after with standards of the highest degree
Ella Ruddlesden, MAAT ATT
Manager
Working with Resolve Accountancy for many years, Ella is a qualified member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) as well as with the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). She brings a professional and friendly approach and has extensive knowledge and experience within the accounting industry which our clients know they can rely on.
As well as managing a portfolio of clients, she is pivotal in the overall management of our team. Ella has a strong passion for what she does and is currently enhancing her knowledge and expertise studying to become a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).

George possesses a keen eye for numbers and a commitment to precision. His expertise extends to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring adherence to accounting principles and regulations.
Providing reliable support and guidance on clients' year end accounts, George also manages our company secretarial services offered to clients.

As the Payroll Supervisor Sue is known for her thorough approach and expertise in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll operation, always keeping up to date with any legislation changes.
She understands that payroll can become a daunting process and is conscious of clients' situations, her attentive approach reassures clients they are well-supported.
